Both the Comfort Inn and Quality Inn set March 27 as the deadline for AAIS members to make reservations. Limited shuttle service will be provided for those staying at the Quality Inn in Mt. Pleasant, just 10 minutes from campus.

The Francis Marion

The Francis Marion has 10 deluxe rooms blocked for AAIS participants arriving Wednesday, May 2, 2012 and departing on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at a rate of $259 plus a 13.5% tax. The Barksdale House Inn

The 14-room Barksdale House Inn offers a special $99 rate for conference participants. In order to get this special rate, AAIS members need to contact Ms. Kelly Richey personally either at the 843-270-8566 or by sending an e-mail to Kelly Richey at krichey@tbonz.com.

Transportation

Airport
Charleston International Airport

Downtown Charleston is approximately 13 miles from the Charleston International Airport. Below are several options for getting to and from the airport. Please note that Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority(CARTA) is the most economical option, however it makes multiple stops in route.

Taxi
The meter fare for taxi departure from the Airport is $2.15 per loaded mile with no additional charge for the first two passengers. For each passenger in excess of two, a fee of $12.00 per passenger per trip will be charged.
No charge for babes-in-arms.

Shuttle
The shuttle rate for Downtown Charleston is $12.00 per passenger and departs within 15 minutes.
The shuttle is a shared ride and may make several stops, depending on the number of passengers.
